It seems these yeti are destroying the eggs and somehow transferring what they've extracted to their camp. I think if we couldn't save the eggs, then at least we can find some use for the magic from these eggs. Collect as much Vessel of Ice Magic for me as you can - we'll take it to Ariana and find a use for this magic.
