Description
Vera listens to the news in silence. Yura paces nearby, glancing again and again toward the snowy trail to the summit.
"So the mother is coming for her children," Vera says quietly. "And if she sees what the yeti have done, the mountain will take the first blow."
Yura tightens the strap on his shield and nods.
"Then we meet her where we have any chance at all. At the summit. Lower down is impossible: too close to the settlements, too many people, too little room for mistakes."
He turns to you.
Vera and I will set the watch and check the approaches to the mountain. If a dragon appears in the sky, we will send word at once. Tell Ariana: we do not promise an easy victory, but we promise to be there.
