Description
Prada doesn't wait for you to finish. The hammer hits the floor, three strides take her to the bench, and she yanks the programmer out from under a pile of rags — the broken one you brought her from the Tech Laboratory.
After that you simply stand and watch. She connects the plate, slaps the casing, swears under her breath, disconnects, turns it the other way round, connects it again. A minute goes by, then two, then five. She has forgotten you are there.
Then, suddenly, a sharp cry.
THERE! It reads! {name}, it reads!
Deep in the forge something heavy shifts from foot to foot. The floorboards answer.
He's up. Got up on his own, I never even gave the order...

The golem steps forward, carefully picks a hammer off the bench — and starts sweeping the floor with it. Thoroughly, corner to corner, stepping around you.
Prada watches this in silence for a good ten seconds.
...He's sweeping. He is sweeping, {name}.
Then the golem turns sharply towards you. The hammer stops dead in its iron fingers. For several seconds it stands quite still — as though it were thinking something over.
Then a step towards you. Another. And it lifts its small hands — for a moment it looks as if it is trying to hug you. Something cracks loudly inside it.
Prada watches without a word.
I thought he'd reach for me. I built him, every plate of him, with my own hands...
And he acts like he knows you, {name}. Well. Seems you spent as much time on him as I did.
You know what? Let him be yours. Take him.
